Time for another Adovia product review! Thanks to Tomoson, I had the chance to try Adovia’s Moisturizing Day Cream. You might remember my first experience with Adovia a couple of months ago…I liked the products, but wasn’t 100% sold on them for various reasons. I hate to say it, but I’m still not convinced. I like them, don’t get me wrong, just not sure their products are for me.
But I’m getting ahead of myself.
Moisturizing Day Cream: This moisturizer promises to give you non-greasy, fast absorbing hydration that lasts all day. It contains Dead Sea Minerals, natural oils, and aloe vera gel.
So, the last two Adovia products I tried, I was really really REALLY annoyed that the packages weren’t sealed. This one was!!! Gold star for cleanliness, Adovia!
I actually really like this day cream. It smells a little weird, but it’s definitely not greasy. My skin feels hydrated after using it, and I can tell I’m going to love it in winter. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave that sticky residue a lot of creams do. The formula is pretty thick – almost emollient-like. My one wish is that it had sun protection in it. Supposedly it has some natural UV blocking ingredients in it, but to be perfectly honest I don’t know how much I trust that claim. I’ve been pairing it with a sunscreen regardless.
This will probably replace my current moisturizer at night. Since night time is kind of when skin repairs itself, I think the extra moisture is going to make a huge difference. Plus, there’s no reason for me to use sunscreen at night….which my current moisturizer has.
The retail on this is $33 – again, a little high in my opinion, especially considering the jar is fairly small.
Final Verdict: Like my previous experience, I like this Adovia product. I’m not crazy about the price, and I’m not crazy about the smell. I’m also not sure I’d purchase this over other, cheaper moisturizers….but I will definitely use it. I’ll stick with my original recommendation – if you have a chance to try Adovia, take it!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
