Welcome to Book Bites, where you get a glimpse into my reading life! Here I chronicle what I’ve finished (and what you can expect reviews on soon!), what I’m reading right now, and what I’m reading next.
It was another slow reading week. I’ll be happy when these next few weeks are over and life can get back to normal! I’m also still fighting with WordPress, because I did something stupid and used a redirect on my old site – which I shouldn’t have done. And now I can’t make it stop. Oy vey.
In other exciting news, I finally got a bottle of Lemongrass Oil, so we can use something besides sandalwood or lavender in our diffuser at night. Don’t get me wrong, I love both of those, but I’m a little over them at the moment. This one is from UpNature and the bottle is HUGE. It smells amazing and word is, it’ll help keep mosquitoes away. Wish I’d had it a couple nights ago when I woke up with an enormous bug bite on my leg. We’re camping in a couple of weeks, so I’ll try it then!
Anyway, I didn’t finish anything this week. BUT. I read on Gone With the Wind, Strange the Dreamer, The River of Kings, and Summer at the Dog and Duck. I’ve been working from home with the pup, so The Bear and the Nightingale is on hold (I’m listening to it, and typically only on my commute). My NetGalley stack continues to grow, though I’m trying to be more selective. I’m actually really interested in everything I’ve got in the backlog, so that’s a win! But most exciting of all, I got Fredrick Backman’s newest, Beartown, and I CAN’T WAIT to read it. Seriously, I’m practically a Backman fangirl, and if you’ve never read him I’ll pester you until you do.
