Happy New Year!

2Ah, 2014. You’re going to be a good year. No, a great year.

14I hate the phrase “New Year’s Resolutions.” To me, it sets up an unrealistic expectation that pretty much leads to failure. I come up with these great ideas, and then three days in, I’ve already messed up. Then I feel like crap, and I give up, and that doesn’t really get me anywhere. So instead, I’ve started focusing on year-long goals. Maybe it’s the same thing as a resolution, and it’s all semantics. Whatever. Calling them goals makes me feel better.

And because sharing goals with others makes me accountable, you, dear readers, get to see them. Aren’t you excited? I sure am! I’ve even tried to make them pretty for you. (I take no credit for any of these pictures. Most of them came from Pinterest.)

  1. Wow, many of these are similar for me. Especially about the memory jar, gratitude journal, etc., etc. I will NOT be completing a beachbody routine unless they have beachbody for the very middle-aged. 😉 I know, Kal puts me to shame! I have that same flossing issue, but am making progress. I think the only other area we diverge is sewing. Wow, 75 books! At the moment I want to get ONE done. 😉
