Last month I came across a deal to get Bugsy’s Box for $9. It was just a one-month thing, but for $9 I couldn’t turn it down. So I didn’t.
Bugsy’s Box is the same idea as Barkbox, Birchbox, Ipsy, etc. You pay a monthly fee, and you get a box of goodies delivered. All these goodies are dog goodies. Bugsy’s Box prides themselves on providing treats that are all made in the US. Each month you get 5-7 items, and you can choose from small dog, medium dog, and large dog. We went with large.
The first thing we noticed was that this box was quite large, and smelled delicious.
You should have seen me trying to take this picture while keeping them away from the box. Look at all that stuff!! And we paid $9 for this. Granted, normally it’s a lot more than that, but still. On to the stuff.
Squeak and Glow Rocket Toy: I’ll be honest, I did not think they would like this. They generally go for stuffed toys. Holy crap was I wrong. Lucy absolutely LOVED it. I tried getting pictures, but that didn’t work, so I ended up with a video instead. Here’s our crazy 8-year old husky…. (the best part is at 35 seconds when she has to very carefully leave the carpet and walk on the floor….)
Collapsible Travel Bowl: This alone would have worth the $9. We camp a lot, and we’ve talked about getting one of these. This is perfect for us.
9″ Piggy Twizzies: Like our Barkbox, the perils of one box for four pupperoos. I think we might be able to cut this one into smaller pieces.
Brewscuits Treats: We haven’t tried these yet, but they look interesting. Since the box arrived a couple days after Brewfest, we found these oddly fitting. They’re free of corn, gluten, and soy. And alcohol. The dogs like beer, so I’m sure they’ll like these!
Wagathas Organic Dog Biscuits – Cranberry with Cheddar and Mint: I love that we keep getting organic dog treats. It makes me feel good about what we’re giving the kids. And we don’t usually buy them, because they tend to be expensive. So it’s a bonus, and we’re finding some new brands. The ingredients in these are all things I recognized, and honestly, I think I could eat them too. Assuming I wanted to, which I don’t. They actually don’t have much of a smell. The dogs liked them. I liked the packaging.
We were all pretty happy with our first Bugsy’s Box! We’re going to try another month for fun, see what we get. To be honest, I was more impressed with Bugsy’s than Barkbox, so we’ll see if the trend continues!
