September Ipsy

Way back in May I put myself back on the Ipsy waiting list. Along about July I decided I didn’t want on it, but couldn’t figure out how to take myself off. The first time I’d signed up, I’d gotten an email telling me I was about to come off the waiting list, and I had to confirm that I did in fact want the subscription. I assumed the same thing would happen this time, so I didn’t worry about it.

Not the case.

Instead, in September I was finally billed and then got an email telling me my box/bag had shipped.

Yay?

I promptly took myself back off the list.

I’m staying off it. Seriously. Hold me to that.

September IpsyLet’s be honest. By now, I have more than enough makeup bags. I appreciate that Ipsy comes in a bag, I really do. But I couldn’t care less. This bag is cute enough, but it will be regifted. I already have a recipient in mind.

Be a Bombshell Smooth Criminal Powder: I love Be a Bombshell. I own several of their products, so was really excited to see this in the bag! It makes my makeup look sooo much better, and keeps the oil at bay. It doesn’t look cakey. I haven’t tried it alone yet, but can’t wait to!

Pacifica Nail Polish: This made the whole bag for me. I’ve wanted to try Pacifica for a while, but haven’t yet plunked down the cash. This nail polish is a gorgeous shade of red, and goes on so smooth! Definitely can’t wait to try more from the brand!

Hikari Lipstick: I’m not a huge lipstick fan, but this one might make me change my mind. In the tube it looks super bright. On, it’s actually a really pretty red. No picture, because I hate the way my lips look in photos, sorry!

Nourish Organic Moisturizing Cream Face Cleanser in Cucumber + Watercress: I love the package, but I’m terrified to try this because my skin is so cranky.

Mitchell and Peach Luxury Hand Cream in Flora No. 1: I wasn’t super impressed with this. I judged the packaging, and expected a luxurious, thick, floral scented hand cream. Not at all what I got. It’s runny, and smells like peaches. Not my favorite.

I was actually really impressed with this Ipsy bag. So much so that I briefly considered….but no. I can spend that $10 on a new product, or a new subscription box, or yarn, or save it for shoes…I’ll just live vicariously through the rest of you, how about that? 🙂

Do you get Ipsy? What did you get in your bag this month?
